The race around the world returns to BBC One in April and the trailer prompted speculation about the upcoming route.
Five couples take the challenge only with the monetary equivalent of the aircraft between the starting point and the final checkpoint. The teams are made up of friends, siblings, mothers, daughters, fathers and sons.
Along the way, competitors need to work or rely on the goodness of the strangers to help them reach them to the next checkpoint. The competition around the world fans have speculated that competitors will explore China, Nepal and India during their travels. Among the comments, one man told Reddit: “The opening is in Nepal, in my opinion. Ratnanagar.”
Another person said, “Oh, very interesting.
Someone else said, “So Asia again? Honestly, there are many options for routes.”
Why the race around the world couldn’t go through China

The 2024 competition in the World Series failed to pass through China. When the competitors made the trip from Japan to Lombok, China was deliberately missed. Flights are banned from a race around the world, but there are some exceptions to the rule.
The exception to the 2024 series saw that the competitors were flying from Sokcho to the Vietnamese capital, Hanoi, who disappeared China.
A competition around the world spokesman told Yahoo: “During the planning of the route, due to the restrictions on time and difficulties in traveling after the global pandemic, it was not possible for production to travel through China and therefore a flight from Seoul to Hanoi was organized.”
Although the 2024 series has not passed through China, the country is considered future series.

Owen told Yahoo UK in 2024: “We had a trip bug before we made the race. We were loading together and we love it, so we have no reason to stop especially with a little more money. Now we can enjoy doing something we like!”
