The time of the announcement of Trump has intrigued political observers in Ohio, who have observed in the last few years that his decisions to weigh key races across the country have passed from days before the elections, to months, so far more than a year.
Robert Cleg, a longtime advisor to the state’s Republican campaign, said he could be understood as a message for Ohio General Dave Jost, who is already looking for the Republican nomination, or perhaps even for the new -level of Lieutenant, whose future political plans are unclear.
“This is terrible at the beginning of the game and I expected approval, perhaps later this year – as in, like the fall, or even wait until January,” said Cleg. “I wonder if the president wants to have a noc-grip primary here in Ohio.”
