Julia Reagan’s husband Sues University of University of University University of the University of the “Under the Unlawful Death” Claim

Salt Lake City (ABC4) – The Julia Reagan family – a woman publicly known by Billboard Memorials in several states – judges Utah Claiming that the negligence of his employees led to her “misconduct.”

Julia Reagan’s husband, William Reagan, is suing the University of Utah’s hospitals who seek damage or monetary compensation for alleged negligence after Julia Reagan died at the age of 81 at the hospital U of U.

“U is responsible for the acts and omissions of its employees, agents and representatives, including, but not limited to, nurses responsible for Julia’s care after she was admitted to the hospital,” the lawsuit said.

On June 11, 2024, Julia Reagan was admitted to the hospital’s emergency room after experiencing vomiting, drowsiness and “changed mental status”.

Medical specialists took several tests and decided that it should be observed for a “risk of aspiration”. According to the court case, doctors who are alleged to have never removed the fluid from her extended stomach and nurses did not keep their head in an increased position, as indicated.

The next day, Julia Reagan experienced a severe vomiting leading to brain and lung injuries, cardiac arrest and death, the lawsuit said.

The results of the autopsy claim that the cause of the death is “a sudden arrest of the cardiopianist after aspiration of bile emesis (vomiting) due to obstruction of the small intestine from extensive abdominal adhesions.”

The court claims that the University of Utah’s employees have violated care standards by failing to determine the most common cause of its symptoms and reduce the risk of aspiration.

“Despite Julia’s Docuged History of Decreased Mental Alertness, Repeated Vomiting, DisdenDed and Fluid-Filled Hiatal Hernia and Stomach, and The Special Orders of Aspiration Preciouss, JULIA Not Kept in an Elevated Head Position Thereafter, ”The lawsuit reads.

The civil claim seeks monetary compensation for her “unlawful death” and prolonged pain and suffering, as well as for emotional damage and loss of income and household services of her heirs. They are also looking for compensation for medical and funeral expenses and costs for lawyers.

For the first time, Julia Reagan entered the spotlight after her death, while her family remembers her with a billboard tribunes in several states, including Utah, Tennessee and Indiana. Her husband founded Outdoor ReaganA large billboard company based on Salt Lake City.

The billboards jumped shortly after her death and several still remain published on the highways and busy streets today.

According to obituaryJulia Reagan had a PhD. The University of Utah was the mother of four children and was deeply engaged in several political and healthcare organizations. When she died, the family wanted donations to several scholarships to the University of Utah.
