Young men and women accept the “gender difference” to stagnate new levels

Separation between men and women is one of the largest divisions in American politics at the moment -and this division is the deepest in Gen Z, which leads the traditional gender difference in American politics and stretches it even more.

New data from NBC News Follow the survey powered by Surveymonkey show that the debate about President Donald Trump, the billionaire Elon Musk, the immigration and the state of the country lead the largest division between men and women Gen Z. But this is not just a pure policy that drives the expressed difference between the field. Large divisions exist on policy issues such as abortion and wider issues of value.

The driver is largely the Gen Z women who are more likely to identify as Democrats and take a liberal position on poll issues compared to other generations or US population as a whole. And the effects of this dramatic cleavage can determine US policy for decades if it continues.

Take the Trump approval assessment. Of all adults, 45% say they approve of Trump’s work and do not approve of 55%. Adults between the ages of 18 and 29 The president worse than this: 34% approve of, 66% do not approve.

But the difference between young men and women is significant. While 45% of young men approve Trump’s work, only 24% of young women-difference in 21 points.

Sex gaps mark every generation, but they are not so great elsewhere. There is only a 7-point difference in Trump’s approval assessment between men and women 65 years and older; 13-point difference between those between the ages of 45 and 64; and a 9-point difference between 30-44-year-olds. The big sample of the study includes 2230 respondents aged 18-29, with a margin of error plus or minus 2.7 percentage points among this cohort.

There is a similar, extremely wide gap between Gen Z’s men and women about their views on Trump’s handling of immigration, as well as their views on the Billionaire Musk White House adviser. But while the Gen Z men are in line with the national population, with 43% looking at it favorably, only 20% of Gen Z women look favorably.

The negative views of Trump and Musk emphasize how many younger women are compared to younger men. Moreover, it is more likely that young women will be aligned with the progressive wing of the Democratic Party.

A slight majority of Gen Z women (52%) say they consider themselves Democrats – the biggest concentration of any group of age and gender within a political party. Among the men of Gen Z, one -third say they are Democrats.

Meanwhile, 38% of Gen Z men identify as a Republican, compared to 20% of Gen Z women. The gender guerrilla difference is a width among Gen Z than in any other generation.

The women of Gen Z are also more pessimistic about the direction of the country. Forty percent of all adults say America is on the right path, in accordance with 37% of men between the ages of 18-29 who agree. But only 20% of Gen Z women feel the same.Gen z also split into cultural problems

The great political division between Gen Z’s men and women comes with other remarkable splits, from how this generation consumes news and information to how it processes a number of cultural issues differently from more adult generations.

About a third of young men (37%) say they are “extremely proud” as an American – they double the affairs of young women who say the same. And a higher share of young women (22%) say they are “not proud at all,” that they are American, compared to 13% of young men. By comparison, most men and women over 65 say they are extremely proud to be Americans.

Although this question is unique American, the growing gender division between young people is not. Researchers, social scientists and politicians have been watching this to happen in other countries in recent years, raising more widespread issues about global culture and information ecosystems.

Twice as many women under 30 say that they consider Tiktok their favorite source of news and information than young men, while young men are twice as much as you call YouTube their favorite source of news and information than young women, the poll shows.

The poll also outlines differences in priorities. The largest share of young men (31%) say that the economy matters most for them at the moment, while the main number chosen by the largest share of Gen Z women (22%) is a threat to democracy. Gen Z women who say abortions are their main problem (16%) is more than twice any other age range. Meanwhile, 4% of Gen Z men say abortions are the most important question for them.

There is also a wider gap between men and women Gen Z than in other generations for programs of diversity, justice and inclusion, with 85% of young women saying that such efforts are useful compared to 63% of young men who say the same.

While the majority of men and women Gen Z do not approve of how Trump handles Dei, young women do this at a much higher level, with 78% disapprove of 54% of Gen Z men.

More young men (69%) agree that there are only two sexes, while about half (51%) of young women say the same. This gap is twice as big as the general gender difference on this issue.

Higher share of men from Gen Z (72%) than Gen Z women (56%) say transsexual women should not be able to play women’s sports.

Three of the four Gen Z women do not agree that the country will be stronger if women play traditional roles, with 58% definitely disagreeing. While 59% of Gen Z men also disagree with this mood, only one -third say they definitely disagree.
