President Donald Trump continued several tirades for both former friends and political opponents on Tuesday, July 1, even threatening to close a rising political star and a former member of Biden’s cabinet.
After touring a new establishment to detention with immigration detainees and the application of customs in Florida, Trump sat with reporters at alligator Alcatraz to answer a few questions.
Asked about the candidate for mayor of New York Zhodi Mamdani – who has just officially won the democratic nomination on Tuesday – the president said: “Many people say it is here illegal.”
33-year-old Mamdani was born in Uganda and became a naturalized US citizen in 2018. He defeated former New York governor Andrew Quomo in a major election disorder as a self-written democratic socialist who also won Trump’s IRE.
“We don’t need a communist in this country,” he said. “But if we have one, I will look at it very carefully on behalf of the nation … We will look at everything.”
Trump was also asked about the promises of Mamdani’s campaign to “stop masking ice agents to deport our neighbors.”
His answer? “Well, then we’ll have to arrest him.”
Subsequently, Trump’s claims, saying, “His statements are not just an attack on our democracy, but an attempt to send a message to every New Yorker who refuses to hide in the shadows: if you talk, they will come for you. We will not accept this intimidation.”

Trump also threatened to close another political enemy, former internal security minister Alejandro Mayorcas, who played the role from 2021 to 2025 with President Joe Biden.
Majorcas was successfully prevented by the Republican Chamber of Representatives in January 2024 for claiming that he was personally responsible for an attack on illegal border crossings.
At that time, DHS called the impeachment procedures “distraction from other vital priorities of national security and the Working Congress to do it to actually determine our violated immigration laws.” Later, Majorcas is justified by the Senate.

Nevertheless, Trump uses impeachment as a conversational point during his presidential campaign in 2024 and criticized it again on Tuesday when a reporter asked why Majorcas did not face additional consequences, including imprisonment.
Trump replied that Biden had pardoned some of his allies and that he could not remember if Mayorcas was one of them. The reporter informs Trump that Majorcas is not covered by pardon and can therefore be persecuted.
“If he didn’t pardon him, I could see this,” Trump said, before asking the current internal security secretary Christie NEME to “examine him.”
“What he did is beyond the incompetent. Something had to be done,” he added. “I’ll look at this.”
Trump’s latest Tyards against Mamdani and Mayorcas came just a few hours after he prevented his feud with Elon Musk over criticism of a technological billionaire to the extended bill for the president’s budget.
In a prolonged rent published in Truth Social, Trump has threatened to use the government’s ministry against his former leader to re -evaluate Musk state aid.
“Elon can get more [subsidies] than any human being in history, and without subsidies, Elon should probably close a store and go home in South Africa, “said the publication.” There are no more rocket launches, satellites or electric cars, and our country will save wealth. “
As he was talking to the reporters later, Trump made fun of: “Dog is the monster that may need to come back and eat an elon. Wouldn’t it be terrible?”
He also told reporters that he still did not know if he would try to deport Musk, who became an American citizen in 2002, adding, “We will have to look.”
