The sky was further unfriendly that day.
The United Airlines Higpier is ashamed online after claiming to have refused to help an adult traveler with disabilities with his cane – and then tries to remove it when he complains. The clerk described in detail the “Disorder of the Incident” in a Reddit publication that takes off online.
“I feel so bad for a disabled lady,” writes the unnamed first -class passenger. “It was heartbreaking to watch someone who just needed a little help to treat it like that.”
According to the poster, the senior had a “small bag and a completely collapsed cane that needed help in arranging the bin” because in the first -class septum where she was seated.

When the woman “politely” asked for a flight attendant for help, the female crew member received “super defensive and aggressive” and continued to lie in it, according to the post.
“[She started] Saying something like “Absolutely not, I can’t do it because of the regulations of the Union, what if I get injured, ma’am, maaaam !!!”, writes redditor.
Despite the tirade, the lady remained “calm” and explained that she only needed help because “she is disabled and cannot do it alone.” She added that she had never had any problems when she made this request before.
Nevertheless, the flight attendant “continued to insist that Lady was unreasonable,” according to Redditor, who said that in the end, another passenger was silently standing and putting his cane and her bag in the bin.

At that moment, the angry flight attendant “angrily struck the bins closed and attacked his place to jump.”
Unfortunately, she was not over to raise hell, according to the publication. The aircraft was already withdrawing from the gate and seemed ready to leave when the pilot came to the interior and announced that “there was an incident and we were heading back to the gate.”
Security climbed on the plane and approached the disabled passenger, informing her that the air aircraft had accused her of “talking” to her.
“Everyone around was astonished – the opposite was the opposite (it was the one who was aggressive and screaming at this poor old lady),” Reddator wrote.

The accompanying footage filmed by the eyewitnesses shows that the elderly woman calmly explains her work to the security officer while her seat confirms her story.
Fortunately, security did not look at her on a threat and the plane was cleared to get out of the gate again. It was at this point that “FA gave the safety message in the most sinister, overly cheerful, almost sociopathic sounding voice that I have ever heard,” Reddyor recalled.
Obviously, they said they were “really worried” by Fa’s refusal, especially after the lady’s belongings probably weighed “probably 2 pounds of each top.”
“Even if the FA could not do it, she could safely say,” I’m sorry I was not allowed to do it, maybe someone else could help, “instead of getting a super agro and calling security,” Redditor said.
Reddit’s commentators have torn the flight attendant about her alleged giving up.
“What a hill to die on. I have seen literally rearrange whole FAs overground bins. Strange,” one said.
Another writes: “I literally haven’t seen fa no Help in this accurate situation. “
Other viewers called on an eyewitness to report a crew member. “Please report this today,” said a Samaritan comment section. “This employee must be removed from the service. Being violence under the cloak of authority is one of the oldest traits of a person. Double when done against disabilities and an elderly person.”
In the meantime, several experts from the chair have indicated that airlines are required to help flyers with disabilities.
In fact, the Flight Blog experts “View from the Wing” rejected the flight attendant’s apology for not lending a hand.
They wrote that while crew members are not required to help passengers with their luggage, the rules for the Ministry of Transport dictate that airlines should help travelers with disabilities on certain requests.
These include “moving to or from the toilet, including the use of a on -board chair” and “retracting and retrieving items for carrying, including auxiliary devices” as directed.
