US Aeronautics Junnerut Boeing has been a hot topic lately, though not for the best reasons. Several lethal 737 maximum catastrophes in just five months, spanning 2018 and 2019, however, have this effect. This is not to talk about the scandalous flight of the Alaska Airlines 2024, during which the emergency output plug was discarded due to missing bolts. And now, the latest Boeing products with a narrow body, 737 Max 7 and Max 10, are struggling to certify for use by the US Federal Aviation Administration. This forces some customers like United Airlines to switch their orders to an older 737 max models instead.
However, before Max’s latest iterations became a thorn in Boeing’s country, 737 was widely considered a lasting, reliable workshop for commercial airlines. Since the first time he took the sky in 1967, Boeing has delivered 12,134 of the popular jets as of June 2025. This makes the 737 most famous commercial jet so far, although the Airbus A320 family can steal this title in the very near future.
Based on our research, none of the earliest Boeing 737 airplane frames since the late 1960s is still in the commercial commercial service for the transfer of passengers. However, Venezolana Airlines is still managing the queue number YV3471 on regularly planned internal routes. This 737-200 was built in 1978, making it over 45 years.

Vintage Image of Frontier Airline’s Boeing 737 Jet in the middle of the flight – JON PROCTOR/WIKIMEDIA
The most relevant of Venezolana Boeing 737 has begun life fly for Frontier Airlines, which is striking because the border we know today has a fleet of All-Airbus. However, the original Frontier Airlines applied for bankruptcy and were consumed by Continental Airlines in 1986. The current Frontier Airlines, which, like so many, charge fees for almost anything except the use of the toilet (we should not give them any ideas), was formed in 1994 and is formed in 1994 and is formed in 1994.
In 1985, just before the original border stopped, it sold 737 to United Airlines, which flew from it until 2001. At that moment, it seemed like the end of the worship line, which was old enough to precede the signature of a flat-bottom engine designed to have larger turbo-ranges in the 1980s. The aircraft was stored in the California desert for a decade before Venezolana saved him from the unknown and returned it to service in 2011.
According to a 2024 YouTube video by Noel Phillips, an aviation fan who has traveled on the plane, he definitely begins to show his age, with visible seats, windows and aboveground lights and air openings. While the interior can be easily refreshed, the lack of spare parts can write the end of this survival earlier than later.
737-200 can land on gravel
As of May 2024, the three largest airlines in the United States-American, Delta and United-there were a fleeting parks between 13.4 and 16.3 years. By these standards, the Vintage Boeing 737 of the Venezolana is ancient. It was the 512s of this type, which should be produced and remarkable is that there are still 737 air frames. But they are in charter or cargo roles that are not technically planned commercial flights.
In particular, 13 of the 30th oldest aircraft in the world impose their trade with a neighbor to the north, Canada, and some are 52 years old. Air Inuit is the main charter of the Vintage Boeing 727-200 operator, mostly because it is very suitable for landing defective gravel tracks in remote Canadian villages. Unlike other jet aircraft, the older 737 can be provided with a special “gravel set” to protect the critical components of flying rocks. Three of Air Inuit aircraft are separated internally to hold both passengers and loads.
Like Air Inuit, Canada Nolinor Aviation operates nine of the aging, a 737-200 aircraft thirsty for fuel, sending them to remote mining operations. While the company admits that the planes operated by the propeller are also an option, they are much slower than Boeing Jets. Uploading a jet an aircraft that is older than you can upset some passengers-but then again and the latest max.
