The Director is giving up Tallahassee Collegiate Academy, Foost content follows

The Tallahassee College Academy at Tallahassee State College is without a leadership team: the director resigned in March, and his other two administrators resigned on June 16.

Jessica Chapman, director of the school, resigned on March 21 to focus on her family and health. It is effective on June 30.

She has run the high school of the charter since her establishment in 2023, along with assistant director Patricia Pagosalski and Dean of students Matthew Gregory, who both resigned on June 16.

Kim Keling, a retired media professional and a member of the Board of School managers, told Talahassi Democrat that a new director is being held.

The Tallahasee Community College has recently identified its new charter high school, which will open on its campus this August, which is called the Tallahassee Collegiate Academy.

“We are actively interviewing candidates and are encouraged by the candidate caliber,” Keling said. “We expect to make a message soon.”

As the school is preparing for a new school year, Keling said it is firmly on the basis and standard of high achievements and perseverance that the three administrators are hired.

“It is not uncommon for school administrators to move to new opportunities after a change in the principal,” Keling said. “These shifts often reflect the natural adjustment that happens to changes in leadership.”

“We appreciate the contribution of Jessica Chapman, Patricia Pagosalski and Matt Gregory, whose leadership in the first two years of the Tallahassee Collegiate Academy helped to create a strong basis. Their efforts have positioned TCA for constant success when we move into the new academic year.”

“Thanks for the opportunity,” says the output director

“I am very grateful for the possibility of serving as an introductory director of Tallahassee Collegiate Academy and to recognize the hard work of our students and teachers, recognized so visibly,” Chapman wrote in his resignation letter.

Tallahassee Collegiate Academy serves high school students as a public charter school without training observed by the TSC board. The school won an assessment from the Florida Ministry of Education in its latest grade.

The resignation of June of Gregory and Pagosalski comes days after TSC guardians approved an application from Charter Schools USA Inc. to open AI integrated high school separate from TCA. The new school does not play a role in the resignation based on letters from administrators.

Pagosalski returns to the Talahassi Mathematics and Science School, where she worked for 15 years before arriving in TCA in 2023. She will perform as a coordinator of the commitment of school operations, which is less tense than the assistant role.

“My time in TCA was absolutely wonderful and it was such an exciting school,” Pagosalski said. “There are great things for school for sure.”

Gregory did not list specific reasons for his departure in his resignation letter, but he said he would continue his career in education.

“While this separation is bitter to me, as I leave to pursue other opportunities in education, I cannot wait to see what the future has for this school and the study body, since it is based on this fundamental success that we all created,” he wrote in the letter.
