A researcher has opened the doors of an abandoned Disney resort the world resort that has been left empty over the last 13 years – overlapping a city without a law that has now been overcome with graffiti and garbage.
JoshWho goes by studying Josh on social media has become a YouTube sensation over the last few years while traveling to all kinds of sinister and abandoned locals around the world, from “inhabited” hotels to burned mansions.
Recently, the Boston native turned his attention to the dressed Orlando Sunny Resort, once an illustrative property that sits only on a stone throw from the famous Disney theme Park, and was previously regarded as one of the most luxurious hotels in the area.
When it was opened in 1972, the property boasted of what was once considered a wealth of high -end amenities, including a ballroom, a large pool and a sauna, as well as more than 600 rooms and 27 apartments.
Today, however, the hotel stands as a shell of its previous Self after closing its doors for the last time in 2012, when it was left abandoned – before later it became an empty canvas for graffiti artists and small criminals who turned it into a rotten ghost city.

In his video, Josh reveals the degree of deterioration of the property, showing huge spaces with roofs that failed, leaving the floor covered with debris, mattresses that were thrown out of windowless rooms, and a swimming pool full of dull green water.
The YouTube star explains in her video how the property now has several homeless people, while becoming “throwing up unwanted things to people.”
But this is just the beginning of the sinister story of the resort – with the video then turned to the sinister when Josh’s friend announced to the camera that someone was “killed” outside the resort only months before they arrived at the property.
“There are about 12 homeless people who have been living here in this property, although he has been abandoned for several years,” Josh explains.
“He told me that there were three fires that actually started in the whole property. It makes me think that this is not the land of man. There are no laws after you enter here.”
The collapsing condition in which the hotel is left is even more tertiary when its history is taken into account, with Josh noting that the resort was once the jewel of the crown of the tourism industry of Central Florida.
“Back, when it was first built in the 60s, it is the largest resort in the whole of Central Florida,” he continues.

Initially, the property was designed to be much more large, with the plans showing that its owner, the Carolando Corporation, intended the resort to contain thousands of rooms – as well as a huge observation tower that would offer incredible views of the Disney world.
But it has been reported that the Carolando Corporation has encountered financial struggles and has sold the part -time property of Hyatt, which has completed its development, although the Observing Tower has never been competed.
For several years, the resort, which was then known as the Hyatt Orlando resort, flourished, becoming a center for tourists visiting the park, as it was only 1.5 miles from the adventure world – which at that time had very few hotels to shelter.
However, in the 1990s, the popularity of the hotel began to decrease, thanks to a large extent to the development of the Disney World Resort resort at their own resorts on the spot, offering a number of bonuses aimed at themed park, from a discount in the park to free transport to attractions.
According to local news, the News 6, the hotel is facing more financial woes after the September 11 terrorist attacks, with many Americans abandoning airplanes, which led to much smaller visitors to Disney -its surrounding hotels.
Just a few years later, the property closed its doors for the first time before it was purchased from another company that changed its name to Orlando Sun Resort and opened the hotel again in 2007.
However, bad luck continued to hit the resort, with the local historian David Bulitt Explaining on his website that many guests in the property are left horrified by its outdated decor and the supposed maintenance problems.

Josh’s video showed the shocking state where the resort fell after the doors were closed.

“Many reviews pointed mildew and mildew in the whole property, the pools – which were full of stagnant green water – and how outdated it looks …” Bulit explained.
“While most of the staff lived in the property, they will go for months without being paid, as an employee judge the resort for unpaid salaries.”
As a result of negative reviews and declining visitor numbers, the resort was forced to close its doors again in 2012 – despite its most owner, it initially revealed plans to completely process the hotel.
Since then, the hotel has remained abandoned, with Josh revealing that it has been completely overcome with junk and clutter.
“I want to say that this should be one of the most apocalyptic areas in Orlando,” the content creator said.
He revealed that people were entering the once luxury rooms and taking the furniture and bedding.
Josh revealed that once the resort was holding a crowded souvenir shop where families rushed over the gifts. It is now empty and covered with graffiti.
At the end of the video, Josh claims that a group of stray men eventually pursued him through the sites, revealing footage of himself running from the site.
