As the first responders continue what the Texas Government Greg Abbot called the rescue efforts “24/7” to find the lost in heavy flooded waters along the Guadalupe River, the community remains in disarray, with vehicles being canceled, the buildings are unauthorized.

As of Saturday, July 5, the death after the flood in and around Kerr County is 27 years old. The deceased consists of 18 adults and nine children, said Kerr Larry Leita County Sheriff.

The flood also led to camps at a Mystic camp, a Christian girls camp along the edge of the Guadalupe River, disappeared. As of Saturday morning, there were 27 missing camps from the camp, said the city manager of Kervil Dalton Rice.

Camp Mystic is in Kerr County in Central Texas, about 60 miles northwest of San Antonio. A few miles along the river, another girls camp said his director was killed in the flood. The heart of the Hills camp said it was not in a session and most people who were at camp when they were flooded were reported, but the camp’s officers were said to have said that director Jane Ragsdale had died.

The number of people who are still missing is unclear, Rice said, adding that employees could not start evaluating the actual numbers, as there may have been an uncertain number of people visiting the vacation region. Five of the confirmed victims are from Harris County, where Houston is located, according to Harris Lina Hidalgo County Judge.

“The whole Texas is affected by this tragic event,” Hidalgo wrote in the X post on Friday, July 4th.

Adding to the mood of Hedalgo, the Lieutenant of Texas Dan Patrick told reporters on Friday that his office was in contact with the White House many times. President Donald Trump told government officials: “Whatever we need, we will have,” Patrick said.
