A father in New Hampshire renewed his support for President Donald Trump after being denied entering the United States and allegedly “treated as a criminal” by border agents.
Chris Landry, 46 -year -old, is a Canadian citizen who has lived in New Hampshire since a young child. He said he had visited his homeland annually without a problem for decades, but things had changed for a worse one on Sunday.
Landry was then informed of the border crossing in Maine – on his way to the home from a family vacation with three of his 5 children – that his green card was canceled and that he would be arrested if he tried to return home without permission.

“I was definitely all about” Make America again great “and had a strong, united country and a bright future for my five American children, but now I feel a little different,” he told NBC Boston. “I was detached from my family. My life was completely neglected. ”
Landry was detained for three hours at the port of entry into Hullton, Maine, and was questioned for about decades of accusations of possession of marijuana and driving under a suspended certificate. He told the NBC Boston that he was convicted of these allegations in 2004 and 2007 and paid fines for both. He said he had received a suspended 60-day sentence for each prosecution and had no other participation in the law.
This did not stop the border agents from treating him as a criminal, he said.

“I never expected I would not be able to go home,” he told WMUR. “It was scary. I had the feeling that I was treating a criminal.”
Landry told The Daily Beast that he was too busy for an immediate interview when they were reached by phone.
Landry said he accused the sudden change in his legal status – he had a green card since 1981 – even after his beliefs in the White House. Asked why his offenses have become a problem only decades later, he said: “Because of the new administration and their new policies.”
US customs and border defense, observed by Interior Security Minister Christie November, have defended his decision to refuse to re -enter Landri in a statement on Thursday.
“Owning a green card is a privilege, not a right, and according to the laws of our nation, our government has the power to cancel a green card if our laws are violated and abused,” the statement said. “Legal permanent residents present in the port of the United States with previous criminal sentences may be subject to compulsory detention and/or may be asked to provide additional documentation to be created for immigration hearing.”
A Facebook page for Landry includes dozens of pictures of it for fishing and carrying Boston Bruins equipment. His Cover Photo, published on November 6, a day after the Trump election wins, depicts a red wave that rises above Democrat Nominated Kamala Harris.
Landry’s case is similar to that of Casper Eriksen, the father of four in Mississippi, who made publications on social media in support of Trump, but was injured by his administration’s repression against immigrants. Eriksen has not been charged with a crime, but has been arrested sharply in an interview with naturalization in Tennessee. He has been in custody for immigration and customs law enforcement for months, stemming from a missed deadline for decade documents.
Landri, a manufacturing worker, says he stays with his family in New Brunswick, Canada until he can understand his next steps, but is afraid he will never be able to live in the United States again with his children. He said he hoped to plead with an immigration judge to allow him to return.
“Drilling should not be a decisive factor for the rest of my life,” he told SinetsS
