So far, rumors about the iPhone 17 Air have shared something to do with the device itself – they were quite thin.

We had some basic ideas for the iPhone 17 Air – it would probably be part of the iPhone 17 edition in the fall, probably killing the plus model of Apple. We heard rumors that there would be enough space for a rear camera. And of course, this is a pretty safe assumption that the phone would be very slender. Initially, the hearing name – the iPhone Slim – made this point quite clear.

But other air details on the iPhone 17 were small and far between them. In addition to the promised slim design, it was never clear what Apple meant about this hearing device.

Well, things just cleared greatly.

Writing about Bloomberg, Mark Gurman offers a very detailed look at the iPhone 17 Air in its last column. Given Gorman’s records – it is quite related to what is happening behind closed Apple doors – you will need to consider this a rather reliable report on what we can expect later this year.

And if that is the case, I am much more enchanted than the Air iPhone 17 than I came back when it seemed that subtleness might be the only calling card.

After browsing the iPhone news this week in Bloomberg, I got away with five major uptakes for the iPhone 17 Air.

Consider MacBook Air … but for phones

Gorman compares the upcoming arrival of the iPhone 17 Air with the launch of MacBook Air in 2008. I am an adult enough to attend this event and I will never forget the moment when Steve Jobs removed the MacBook Air from the Manilla sheath to demonstrate how thin the laptop is.

But there was more than the presentation than just that. Apple wanted to make a thin notebook, but did not want to make the same compromise on screen and performance size that other laptop manufacturers are settled when they produce their light designs.

It’s 17 years later and a completely different product, but you expect Apple to approach the Air iPhone 17 with the same philosophy. There will be compromises – in addition to this single rear camera lens, Gurman reports that the phone will use a standard A19 chipset instead of Pro version and that there will be no SIM card boards. But you still get a big screen – the reports say it will be 6.6 inches – and performance on a par with the standard iPhone. For those of us who were at the start of the MacBook Air, this will be one of those moments of Deja Vu.

Battery life should be better than you would think

This list of things that Apple is ready to sacrifice in the name of a smaller phone does not include battery life. In fact, Gorman reports that Apple is striving to deliver battery life with the rest of the iPhone. Given that the two biggest iPhone 16 models make our best list of battery life on long-term phones, this is a pretty sublime goal.

You would also think that this would be a very difficult goal for an ultra -thin phone that won’t have much space to accommodate a super battery size. But Apple hopes to get help from one of the other components in the iPhone 17 air.

In particular, the phone is set to use a modem built on Apple, which debuts with the iPhone 16e. Apple’s modem is much more efficient than power than Qualcomm modems that other iPhone uses. With our battery test, the iPhone 16e lasted longer than the iPhone 16, which is said to use the Snapdragon X71 modem.

More importantly, the iPhone 16e lasted nearly 13 hours on our test, in which phones surf the web until they run out of power. This is more than 2.5 hours better than the average smartphone, which is good for the efficiency of the iPhone 17 Air power supply.

Loading port … so far

After the lightning harness of my last three iPhones stopped working long before the phones themselves, I completely hugged the best wireless chargers like my option. I don’t care if I ever see a phone charging port again.

Gorman reports that Apple agrees with me-Air iPhone 17 will have a USB-C port, but only because Apple did not want to establish problems with European regulators that were quite insistent to the phones offering universal charging standards.

But it definitely sounds that Apple would like to get home at some point in the future, deciding that enough people are comfortable with wireless charging to the place to get rid of the USB-C (or any cable charging interface) will not start much of the noise. I think this is the right move and will certainly lead to more elegant phones.

Reasonable price

Back, when the air of the iPhone 17 was just a glimmer in the eye of a leaking phone, we would hear disturbing things about the potential price of the phone. At one point, rumors suggest that the air will even cost more than $ 1.199 iPhone 16 Pro Max. And certainly Apple, raising the price of the iPhone 16e by $ 170 over the iPhone SE (2022), does not soothe the nerves.

Obviously you don’t have to worry. Gorman says he was told that the iPhone 17 Air could cost about $ 900. This is really the model for replacing the iPhone 16 Plus. In any case, consult the hearing folding iPhone if you want to worry about Apple astronomical devices.

This is not a one -off

In a world of special publications and limited editions, we are trained to think of phones that introduce into new designs such as niche models, which will stand separately from the rest of the regular composition of the company’s phones. That doesn’t sound like it’s the case with the iPhone 17 Air.

More recently, writes Guerman, the aviation model will not just be another iPhone design – it will eventually become thehe Iphone design.

The iPhone can certainly use shaking. It has been eight years since the iPhone X introduced a new appearance in Apple, shrinking the frames and expanding the size of the display. A smoother, simpler phone that still delivers a high level of performance will take things in a new direction that could introduce in the next era on Apple’s phones.
