Intel’s most mobile mobile processor: Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX. Power the Gigabyte Aorus Master 16 Gaming Laptop, does it respond to over?

As with any new silicon, we compared Intel’s HX Arrow Lake processor to its predecessor and current competition, especially AMD chips.

While Arrow Lake HX will be used most in the game laptops, several workstation models can choose the HX variant instead of Arrow Lake H, so we decided to throw the Apple M4 into the mixture.

So, how is Intel’s Ultra 200hx basic series arranged? Let’s break it.

Information indicators Intel Arrow Lake HX: Performance

Intel Lake HX’s initial statements show more than 5% lifting of disposable and 20% multi-country profits against the 14th generation of Raptor Lake refreshes HX chipsets.

So far, we have only seen an Intel Arrow Lake iteration and is not even the leading Intel Core Ultra 9 285HX processor. However, these numbers show a solid jump in the 14th generation performance and improvement over the Arrow Lake H model, which is designed for highly effective thin and light laptops.

The Gigabyte Aorus Master 16’s Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX had a 5.7% increase in the Geekbench 6 mono-core performance compared to the Intel Core i9-14900HX in the Razer Blade 16 (2024). It also exceeds the Intel Core Ultra 9 285H (MSI Prestige 16 AI EVO), AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 (Razer Blade 16 2025) and AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 (ASUS ROG FLOW Z13 2025) in one-time efficiency) in one-time efficiency) in one-time efficiency) in one-time efficiency) in one-time efficiency) in one-time efficiency) in one-time efficiency) in one-time efficiency) in one-time efficiency) in one-time efficiency) in one-time efficiency) in one-time efficiency. The M4 Pro of the MacBook Pro 16 still holds the one -core performance record, but the Arrow Lake HX helps to close the precipice.

The Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX also had an increase of 9.8% over the I9-14900HX with multi-storey indicators of Geekbench 6, and Arrow Lake is superior to the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 with 19.6%. The Ultra 9 275HX was simply shy of the multi -core efficiency of the Ryzen Ai Max+ 395 and almost gave the Apple M4 Pro for its money.

Of course, the Flow Z 13 makes Cap Cap AMD Big Strix Halo Ryzen Ai Max Apu up to only 70W power, while Gigabyte Aorus is a 230W laptop. At full power, the Ryzen AI Max+ 395 can offer higher performance, but so far we have seen this chip in only one device.

You will notice that our Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX processor does not fully respond to the promises of 20% of gene to generation.

Usually Intel is quite a sign with expectations for execution. And that 20% could apply to the variations of Intel Core Ultra 7 or Core Ultra 5 on the HX platform Arrow Lake.

We also compared the most powerful Intel Core I9 processor to the lower-level Intel Core Ultra 9 chipsets, so it’s not a complete comparison 1: 1. Both are 24-core processors, but 275HX has a total of 24 thread I9-14900HX offers 5.8GHz turbo speed.

The Ultra 9 285HX still has less threads as Intel discard the hypertorer for the Arrow Lake generation, but there is a slight improvement in the clock at 5.5GHz, which can help to close the difference.

Unfortunately, we do not have a great processor to compare Raptor Lake for Ultra 9 275HX. And we have not yet received 285hx laptops for testing. We will also look at these comparisons of General Gen, since we have more testing data.

Although not a 20% lifting, 10% is some solid performance from General General and we saw a healthy improvement in Geekbench, encoding video with a parking brake and cross results.

Intel Arrow Lake HX: Battery life

Battery life is not a priority for the Intel HX processor. It’s just a fact.

The HX Suffix Chipsets is a highly effective silicon designed for laptops for games or workstation. They are almost always paired with high -end discrete graphic processors that cause battery life compared to H Suffix laptops, often delivered only with the integrated GPU.

However, things can improve in this generation.

Our Gigabyte Aorus Master 16 was paired with the NVIDIA RTX 5080, which comes with the updated NVIDIA battery reinforcement technology for up to 40% better battery life when playing.

While the life of the battery for surfing the 275HX/5080 Gigabyte Aorus is not revolutionary for 5 hours and 31 minutes, the game life has hit the Amazing 2 hours and 54 minutes based on the PCMark 10 Gaming Battery Life Benchmark. This is about 50 extra minutes of browsing on the net and about 1 hour and 30 minutes more playing time than I9-14900HX/4090 Razer Blade 16.

AMD’s Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 (7:22) is more effective while surfing the network than the Arrow Lake HX CPU (5:31), but this can be expected given that the Ryzen AI processor is a 25W ultra-portal laptop chip.

As for the AMD Ryzen Ai Max+ 395, while the Flow Z 13 offers a longer battery life for surfing on the network (10:14), Arrow Lake Gigabyte Aorus exceeds the big APU of AMD in Gaming Battery Life (1:34).

Naturally, Arrow’s arrow chipset has exceeded Arrow Lake HX as our MSI Prestige 16 AI EVO uses the Intel Arc 140T integrated graphics chip compared to the NVIDIA RTX discrete GPU.

The Core Ultra 275HX doesn’t even come close to challenging the incredible battery life of Apple MacBook Pro 16 M4 Pro, nor would we expect it. ARM -based computers such as MacBook Pro and Lenovo ThinkPad T14 are in their own class, and Intel’s Lunar Lake is the chip built to cause it.

Intel’s Arrow Lake HX has been built to offer competition against the Apple Silcon processor.

Unfortunately, Apple remains undeniable for another generation when it comes to offering processor performance, breaking an indicator and exceptional battery life.

Maybe this fall we will get this large blockbuster processor X86. In the end, the Panther lake on Intel is expected later this year.

Lower order

It’s still very early in the Intel Arrow Lake HX examination cycle, so we still don’t have full data on the new silicon. But based on this early look, Intel was able to achieve a solid impetus to battery performance and life with this new generation.

Of course, the results will vary depending on any laptop construction, as many factors such as GPU, battery size and TDP can greatly affect battery performance and life on these machines. This applies to all laptops, but when you get to highly efficient machines, any different processor or graphic processor realization can have a big impact.

Plus, few people will upgrade their 40, RTX 40-series games for the new generation. For those with a 11th gene laptop/30 or older, these new chips are a huge improvement throughout the board.

In the end, the base Geekbench 6 multiple-rating of 11,000 was determined on the basis of the i7-12700K desktop. And in 2025, these are the number of recruits even for thin and light laptops.
