Authorities in India have released the preliminary results of their investigation into the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner crash in June, which killed 229 of 230 passengers on board and all 12 crew members.

A preliminary report, published by the Accident Investigation Bureau in India at the beginning of Saturday, July 12 (local time), states that shortly before the crash on June 12, the fuel for the airplane engines was cut off. The aircraft was on the way from Sardar Valabhai Potel International Airport in Ahmedabad to London’s Gatwick Airport at the time.

At 8:08, “Engine 1 and fuel switches 2 pass from position to a border one after the other with a 01 -second time precipitation. The N1 and N2 engine began to reduce their take -off values, as the fuel supply to the engines was cut off,” the report said.

“The investigation continues and the investigative team will review and consider additional evidence, records and information that is sought by stakeholders,” the report concludes.

“Air India is working closely with stakeholders, including regulators. We continue to cooperate entirely with AAIB and other authorities as their investigation progresses. Given the active nature of the investigation, we cannot comment on specific details and direct all such inquiries to AAIB,” the company’s statement added.

The passenger plane carrying 230 passengers and 12 crew members crashed minutes after Departure on Thursday, June 12th. The aircraft hit a hostel at a college in a residential area when it breaks down in Ahmedabad, bursting into flames.

The only survivor of the crash is identified by doctors like Vishvashkumar Ramesh, according to the Associated Press.

“He was disoriented with multiple injuries throughout his body,” said Dhaval games for AP for the survivor. “But he seems to be out of danger.”

“I don’t know how I survived. I saw people who die before my eyes – air supporters and two people,” Ramesh told DD News from his hospital bed at Ahmedabad Civic Hospital, adding: “I left the rubble.”

Ramesh recalled what had happened before the crash: “When the flight flew, within 5 to 10 seconds it felt like it was stuck in the air. Suddenly the lights began to tremble – green and white – then the plane slipped into a place that was there,” he reports.
