The French authorities believe that a killer with an insult can stand behind the wild murder of a British woman in a French medieval village.
Karen Carter, 65 -year -old, was stabbed to death in a fierce attack on Tuesday near the front porch of Gîte, which she hired on the vacationers in tremolate.
The mother of four was found scattered on the ground by her car with eight serious stab wounds over her “breasts, groin, hand and legs” by a male friend, with whom she attended the wine tasting only 10 minutes before.
Jean-Francois Gerie, a rich 74-year-old local businessman who found Mrs. Carter and is said to have been in relationship with her during the week before the attack, was questioned by police, but also quickly released without charge.
The French authorities are focusing their efforts on anyone who intimately knew the couple and “maybe after” or both, said Sylvie Martins-Gudes, the prosecutor who was conducting the investigation.

Written and directed by Claude Cabol, the French movie about a new wave tells the story of a young butcher who falls in love with the head teacher of the local school as he embarks on a serial killing of young women in the village.
