The shots showed protests in LA after the death of George Floyd in May 2020 – not June 2025 protests on immigration.
In June 2025, as immigration action caused protests in Los Angeles, a claim (S)archived) spread that videos authentically showed burning, graffiti police cars during protests in the city in June 2025.

An X user posted the staff on June 8, 2025, the inscription “Absolute Chaos in Los Angeles right now …”
The footage circulated widely on x (S)archived) but also appeared on Facebook (S)archived).
The footage that claims to show protests in June 2025 are different. Although the shots were authentic and showed protests in LA, he initially introduced himself in news reports of protests after the death of George Floyd In May 2020, police vehicles observed at the staff could be identified by their roof numbers, which correspond to 2020, not 2025 staff.
In a NBC news report, a fragment of the footage of May 31, 2020 appeared, in the time code 0:35. The footage showed cars 504 and 658, which also appeared at the footage circulating in June 2025. The Car 504 was opened with its hood, and the CAR 658 was on fire – the identical characteristics of the staff in June 2025.
The NBC painting gallery from the same date of May 2020 also includes a screenshot of frames (image 42), which again includes cars 504 and 658. The image gallery credits the NBC4 and Telemundo 52 frames.
Although the exact video did not show protests in 2025, photos of the renowned photo Agegency Getty Images showed a similar range of police cars near the highway overpass during protests for immigration actions in LA in June 2025, according to an Associate Press, protesters were thrown away by the Officers and vehicles parked on closed US of Associated, protesters are thrown away.
These are not the only various we have also looked at different video, claiming to demonstrate demonstrators, set fire to a jeep.
