A Boise teacher, who resigned in a $ 400,000 settlement with the Boise school district last year, applied for a replacement Teach in Western hell, just to be rejected because of the alleged lack of professionalism.
Laura Bulton, a former Timberline High School mathematics teacher, filed claims against the two school areas in May for being claimed to have slandered her during the application process.
According to a copy of the letter of rejection of West Ada, received by Idaho’s state man, West Ada denied Bulton’s employment, as information in Buliz’s staff in Bulton pointed out “Fears about your professionalism with colleagues, more specially, the history of targeting other teachers.”
In his claims, Bulton claims that “the opposite is true.”
“I taught at the Centennial high school in the school neighborhood of Western hell, as well as the high schools of Borah and Timberline in the Boise school district, and I have an exemplary record of the staff in both,” Bulton told the statesman in an email.
Bulton also filed a second claim against the Boise region, saying that employees violated her first amendment, issuing her a violation notice after attending a public meeting on a former Boise school employee accused of possession of child pornography.
West ADA spokesman told the statesman that the area, the largest in Idaho, did not comment on staff questions or pending legal claims. A Boise spokesman said the state law is required to disclose staff information in other school districts during the hiring process.
“As for the violation, we seriously accept the safety and privacy of our students, employees and parents,” said Boise spokesman, Ryan Hill. Idaho’s law and regional policies “allow us to reasonably limit access to schools and other regional properties,” he said.
Both claims are claims of a tort that the Aidaho Law requires before anyone can sue a state or local unit of government. They came after Bulton and Boise region in 2024 reached the weak peace, establishing a year of tension on a supposedly “inappropriate” behavior of Bulton, and her claim that the area failed to victim of harassment and sexual crimes.
Laura Bulton turned to a crowd of several hundred students lining the sidewalk from Timberline High School while walking by students to protest against its stop in 2023.
Timberline stopped Bulton in 2023 because of suspected inappropriate relationships with students and “multiple attempts to undermine the academic environment with colleagues,” the statesman reported. The suspension caused students on behalf of Bulton and calls to restore it.
In a July 2024 agreement, Bulton agreed to resign and the area agreed to pay her $ 400,000 and put her in the Regional Committee for a healthy relationship. Both sides agreed not to take any action against the other, the state -owned state of Idaho said.
A claim for $ 500,000 against Boise, West Ada claims slander for slander
In November 2024, four months after the agreement, Bulton applied to replace TEACH in Western hell while pursuing a doctoral degree of education, according to a tort claim on May 8 and provided to the statesman by a spokesman for Western hell. The claim is alleged that Bulton was rejected due to “fake and defamatory information” obtained from West Ada by Boise, which was then placed in Boulton’s staff in Western hell.
The claim, which also called Boyz General Dan Skinner, is looking for over $ 500,000 in damage for economic losses and emotional suffering.
Bulton Andrea Rosolt’s lawyer of Boyz claims that “there has never been a foundation by (Boise) the trustees to justify” statements about Boulton’s professionalism. Rosholt cites the “friendly resolution” – a time limit that the agreement requires Bulton to use in future investigations – and the fact that Bulton is placed in the “prestigious executive level” committee. The Sunset of the Committee in December.
Boulton is also presented by Boise Laywer Eric Rosman.

Boise issued a former notice of teacher breach, said in the second statement
On May 29 rOsholt filed the second claim On behalf of Bulton Against Skinner and Boise Schools. According to a copy of the statement that Bulton, provided to the State, she attended a public meeting in January, hosted the area to discuss concerns about Gavin Snow, a special educational parapro -professional at Boise, who died of suicide after being investigated for possession of child pornography.
According to the claim, Bulton is invited to attend by the parent of Valley View elementary school. On January 30, Skinner sent a notification of Bulton’s violation. Skinner cites “Two previous … investigations” in Bulton’s behavior and said Bulton had recorded the meeting and distributed commercial business cards. A modified infringement notice on February 17 also accused Bulton of making threatening remarks.
The infringement notifications included in the claim described “requests from staff and families to avoid more contact with Boulton in our property or at school events” and instructs Boulton, “Do not physically attend any Boise School Dist or at any Boise School event.
Rosholt claims that notifications violate the constitutionally protected rights of Bulton and are “fake and defamatory”. Rosholt said Bulton “did not break the meeting in any way” and denied that she had recorded the meeting, gave business cards or made some threats.
Rosht also rejected investigations cited in the infringement. “Despite the” investigation “you are referring to, the hiring of G -jja Bulton in the area was not terminated,” she writes. “In fact, G -Ja Resignation and the area placed G -Ja Bulton in an Executive Committee with access to the district services to deal with the issue of Valley View.”
Skinner email included in the claim said that the investigation in 2018 found that Bulton had violated the Code of Ethics “by not providing appropriate supervision to its students” and “uses its institutional privileges to undertake political activities” – for which Bulton was reproached and transferred.
Skinner said a second investigation “was the result of more than a dozen complaints of harassment and inappropriate behavior with students submitted by her colleagues.” Skinner said the investigation concluded that Bulton had violated Aydaho’s Code of Ethics for professional teachers in Idaho, “focusing on colleagues who expressed fears about her professionalism, crossed professional borders, using them in their efforts to focus on her colleagues and her colleagues and her colleagues.
The claim pointed to Boulton’s intention to judge an additional $ 500,000 or more damage.
Bulton told the statesman in a text message that the report of breach was in force until 2027.
Rosht did not respond to an email from the state person.
Boulton advocates for customers
Boulton continues to live in Boise and manages a limited liability company called Phoenix Advocacy, although her goal remains to work in Boise or West Ada schools, she told the statesman. She said the company was non -profit.
“I called Boyz at my home and built a family here for almost twenty years,” she said by email.
Boulton said her agency helps families in Boise, West ADA and nearby schools “on special education issues, English trainees and the needs and services of students’ victims.”
She also said that “cooperates with the Boise Police Department and directs my customers through the legal system as they find solutions and justice.”
