Los Angeles (AP), a doctor accused of giving Matthew Perry Ketamine in the month leading to the death of the excessive side of the “Friends” star, will plead guilty, according to an agreement brought to court on Monday.
Dr. Salvador Plasenia agreed to plead guilty to four charges for the distribution of Ketamine, according to the signed document filed with the Los Angeles Federal Court. In return for their legal basis, prosecutors agreed to reject three additional distribution of ketamine and two issues of counterfeiting records.
Federal prosecutors said in a statement that the legal basis has a maximum sentence of 40 years in prison. They said that Plasecia is expected to formally plead guilty in the coming weeks.
According to a teammate Plasecia in a text message called the Debil actor, which can be operated for money. The doctor was one of the main goals of the prosecutor’s office, along with a woman accused of a Ketamin merchant. Three other defendants, including another doctor, agreed to plead guilty last year in exchange for their cooperation.
Plasteria and the woman, Jasveen Sangha, were intended to face a lawsuit in August. An email to his lawyer who wants a comment did not answer immediately.
Perry was found dead by his assistant on October 28, 2023. The medical examination ruled that ketamine, which was commonly used as a surgical anesthetic, was the main cause of death.
The actor has used the medicine through his regular doctor for legal but labeling treatment for depression, which is becoming more and more common. The 54 -year -old Perry began looking for more Ketamine than his doctor would give him.
Plasensia acknowledged in his legal basis that another patient had linked him to Perry and that, starting about a month before Perry’s death, he illegally supplied the actor with a 20 vials of ketamine for a total value of 100 mg, along with Ketamine Lozegnes and syringes.
He acknowledged that he had included the other doctor, Mark Chavez, to deliver the medicine to him, according to court filing.
“I wonder how much this moron will pay,” Chavez sent a message, according to Chavez’s legal basis. The two met the same day in Costa Mesa, halfway between the Los Angeles region, where San Diego also practiced Plasecia, where he practiced Chavez, and exchanged several vials with Ketamine, the submission said.
After selling Perry’s drugs for $ 4,500, Plasecia claims that he asked Chavez if he could continue to deliver them so that they could be “going to Perry,” prosecutors said.
Plasecia admitted that he visited the house of Perry twice and injected it with Ketamine. He also left Ketamine behind him and showed the personal assistant of Perry, Kenneth Yamasa, how to inject him, according to the Iwamas Legal basis agreement. Later, the doctor met with Yamasa and gave him more ketamine about Perry, according to the document.
Perry also received Ketamine from another source, Sangha, which prosecutors claim to be a major dealer and provided the dose that killed the actor.
Sangha admitted that she was not guilty – turning her into the only of the five people accused of Perry’s death, who did not conclude a legal basis. She stays in prison while waiting for a test. Plasensia was released on a relationship after his initial court appearances.
Eric Fleming, a friend of Perry, who said he acted as a mediator and a drug envoy, also pleaded guilty and cooperated with prosecutors.
None of the defendants has yet been convicted. The Plasncia legal basis transaction does not make specific guarantees of a sentence.
Perry has been fighting addiction for years, dating back to “friends” when he became one of the biggest stars of his generation like Chandler Bing. He participated with Jennifer Aniston, Corteni Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt Leblan and David Schwimer for 10 seasons from 1994 to 2004 of NBC megachite.
