Several people were also injured in the attack. The survivors conveyed the excruciating scene to Inferno.
“I saw the whole zone full of dust – then I realized that the impact had hit the place,” Abu Haytam Hala told Al Jazeera, standing in the ruins.
“The panic, the fear and the terror that passed through the school were captivating. There were about 1000 displaced people, shelter – tents and classrooms used as a refuge,” he said.

“The smell of blood is everywhere”
Israeli rockets hit the school in Halima al -Saadia late at night as people slept.
Considering the scene, Ibrahim al-Helli of Al Jazee has determined after “unprecedented”.
“In the light of the ongoing Israeli military escalation of attacks aimed at different areas in the Gaza Strip, the situation goes from bad to harder,” he said.
“This school housed thousands of displaced Palestinians who fled their homes in the eastern parts of the strip after Israeli orders for forced displacement. Instead of asylum, they were greeted with death and destruction,” he added.
Al-Helly draws a gloomy picture of the destruction: “The smell of blood is everywhere. The attack came before midnight as people slept, killing them in the very place they once thought it was safe.”
With safe spaces that quickly disappear, Gaza displaced now is now confronted with an increasingly horrible reality. “The situation is catastrophic as many displaced Palestinians have left nowhere to go,” Al-Helly said.
Israel’s aid site
Separately, Al Jazeera has received reports that at least 10 Palestinians were killed and 16 injured near the controversial GHF-Run-Run help center for distribution in Rafa.
They were transferred to a nearby Nasser hospital after being shot by Israeli snipers, saying that Tarek Abum of Al Jazeera Abum, reported by Deir El-Bala in Central Gaza.
“From the locals we heard that a large panic erupted at the site of the help center at the site of the Center for Help,” Azum said.
He added that security performers, along with Israeli forces, later open fire to scatter desperate crowds seeking food.
“Climbing the death issue reflects the rough Israeli strategy to cause more harm to the Palestinians who are trying to get food supplies,” Azum said. “People continue to take the risk just to feed their families, despite the fact that seekers are shot in these centers.”
The UN Supreme Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) said on Friday that it had recorded at least 798 murders both in Aid points managed by GHF and near humanitarian convoys managed by other help groups, including the UN.
“By July seventh, we have already recorded 798 murders, including 615 near the sites of the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, and 183 by presumption along the convoys route,” OHCHR spokesman Rabbi Shamasani told Geneva reporters.
GHF began distributing limited food packages in Gaza in late May.
